Since Tulsa’s AA Blues "dress-down" program was implemented in October, 2000, over $194,000 has been donated by TUL M&E employees. AA Blues participants enjoy the benefits of "flying coach" while being a "first-class" partner with local Tulsa charities.
Participation in AA BLUES is granted to employees who donate $2 to wear blue jeans and/or $1 for tennis shoes on designated Fridays. Proceeds benefit charities such as Tulsa Employee Love Fund, United Way, March of Dimes, Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure, Make a Wish and the Oklahoma Special Olympics.
Carmine Romano is truly proud of the program. "Since AA BLUES has been such a well administered success, we heartily support continuing it." Debbie Repp and Diane Guardino are its proud coordinators.
AA BLUES has an exciting schedule for 2007 that promises many more opportunities for employees to "fly coach" while becoming a "first-class" partner with local charities.
To participate in the AA BLUES program,
employees MUST make their donation with a one of the AA BLUES coordinators
listed below. ALL passes MUST be purchased by 11:00 a.m. of the
scheduled Friday to "legally" wear jeans and/or tennis shoes on that.
Effective January 2007, the AA Blues sticker was replaced with the AA Blues
Pass. Each month’s AA Blues Pass will be a different color.
Again this year, we’re offering a AA Blues Season Pass. You may
purchase a Season Pass for the entire year (special Thursday Blues days do not
apply) and designate the AA Blues charitable organization you wish to apply your
donation.
Your AA Blues Pass must be visibly displayed. Failure to abide by the AA Blues
policy may result in appropriate action and may negatively impact this program.
Please see a coordinator listed below for
further details and to receive your AA Blues pass:
